What can you use the app for?

Readyforce is a job connection platform that helps professionals and individuals find internships and full time positions. The user begins by answering few questions to build their profile. Next, the user is asked to join a live video chat to discuss their interests and experience in person. Readyforce presents the user with a list of available jobs and internship opportunities. The user can look for the best matches based on their education and skills and let those companies know that they are interested. The company can review the user’s profile and resume as well as their “About You” video. If the company likes what they see, they can contact the user and possibly offer an employment opportunity or internship.

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Readyforce was created to enhance the way job seekers and employers find one another. The current version has received over $12 million in Venture funding. For the most part, Readyforce has received positive comments from users. Some users have dinged the company for the way it handles candidate and employer interactions. Some claimed they received faster responses going directly to the company while others stated that Readyforce doesn’t offer as many cutting edge jobs as it claims. Despite the negative comments, many users have stated that Readyforce helped them access great work opportunities.

What are the differences to other apps?

Readyforce is far more involved than most job listing websites. Many websites give users a place to submit resumes or post job openings. Readyforce offers a similar service, but with a personal touch. Users can build a profile and participate in online video interviews. The video interview is appealing to some because it gives them an opportunity to stand out through personality and charisma. Readyforce actively tries to connect job candidates with companies that are hiring.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

Readyforce maintains a stylish but professional tone throughout. Users are met with simple, clean fonts and low key hues accented by hints of blue and lime green. The design is user friendly so anyone, even those not looking for highly technical work, can make their way through the registration process and begin exploring job an internship opportunities. Readyforce reveals its personality without distracting the user from their job search.

How does the registration process work?

A new user can join the Readyforce job seeking community by clicking one of the three white buttons found near the center of the homepage. After answering a handful of questions about the user’s degree and education, the user is asked to provide an email address, password and first and last name. Two blue buttons are also available for users who prefer to sign up with a LinkedIn or Facebook profile. The user must complete a total of 16 questions before completing registration.

What does it cost to use the application?

Readyforce is available to all users at no cost. Anyone can sign up without paying to do so. There are a number of questions the user must answer and users may have to participate in video interviews for some positions. The application really should be free to encourage more potential employees to sign up and explore job openings. The more qualified users and companies that join, the better the hiring pool will be.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Readyforce is helpful for anyone who is searching for a job. Users can work through the 16 question sign up process to provide more insight into their experience, skills and personal preferences. The video interview aspect is a nice touch and may give the user a leg up against the competition.
